Supporting young, emerging artists is an essential part within the framework of the Ernst Alexander Maier - Memorial Fund.

Examples of previous activities:

  • By taking over the course fees, it was possible in the summer of 2005 for Philip, Emily and Stefanie, the three talented children of the Turkanik family from Mittersil, to participate in a 10-day violin seminar in the Black Forest, despite the damage suffered as a result of the summer floods in Pinzgau.

  • In April 2006, the Fund covered the travel expenses for two soloists to a festival in South America. During this festival, a violin was purchased for a musically very talented young Argentinean whose family could not afford it. Inspired by this fund donation, local sponsors organized the establishment of regular music lessons by trained teachers.

  • A valuable violin - donated to the Fund by Christine - Maria Höller - has been lent several times to highly talented, aspiring young artists. The handing over and passing on of the instrument regularly takes place within the framework of a concert supported by the Fund.
